Tekere Girl Child Empowerment is a Not for profit organization formed after realizing the needs of the girl children of Tororo and how we can cause a change by improving the situation in concerted manner. The organisation is formed to empower the people with information, economic activities and to provide social support in order to improve the livelihoods of girls and general population. At Tekere, we are a group of women who are so passionate about the health of other women and girls and want to empower them through information. The initiative was formed after realizing the health needs of the people in this area and how we can garner change by improving the situation in a concerted manner. We are what we are because the people are.
