Job summary: We are looking for someone who will ensure effective planning, co-ordination, implementation, documentation and reporting of project activities in the organization.
Your Contribution:
- Carrying out effective planning (programs and budgets) to facilitate the implementation of project activities
- Provide project management and technical support to other key implementing partners under the project
- Provide technical support in the development and dissemination of tools, materials, reports, papers, and intervention for research projects as appropriate.
- Work closely with assigned teams to ensure activities are implemented according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and national guidelines.
- Monitor progress against program deliverables, goals and objectives.
- Write and edit technical reports and documents. Assist with writing of abstracts and manuscripts documenting best and promising practices for publications, web pages, and presentations.
- Conduct searches of published literature in the assigned technical area for evidence-based programming.
- Coordinate and track the technical assistance strategy across the key results areas.
- Support the development and review of sub-awards, work plans, reports, and budgets
- Coordinate and contribute to the development, review, and submission of funder progress reports.
- Stay current and up to date on all aspects of the project programming and reporting.
- Perform other duties as may be assigned from time to time.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields; Social Sciences, Education, SWASA, Development Studies, Community and Adult Education, Community Psychology, Public Health, Guidance and counseling
Experience and Skills:
- At least 5 years’ experience in project work and community development
- Comprehensive knowledge and experience in reproductive health, Family planning and MCH programs
- Good working knowledge of RH/FP programming and, strategies, processes and techniques used to plan, develop, implement and evaluate results of RH/FP programs.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively in a team.
- Knowledge of USG programming policies and regulations, MoH and district procedures and practices.
- Specialized knowledge and experience in Community Health and stakeholder engagement skills and attributes
- A post graduate qualification is an added advantage
- Computer proficiency in MS Office Applications
- Willingness and flexibility to work anywhere within Uganda
